Crochet for Kids

Level 1- week 1
If you have never picked up a crochet hook (or you have but you need a refresher) start here! In this introductory course you will learn about the basics of crocheting including slip knots, tension, chaining, single crochet, double crochet, and tying off. If you already know these techniques, please refer Crochet Level 2 or 3 descriptions. Students will get to keep their practice piece, yarn, and crochet hooks to continue creating on their own.
Level 2- week 2
Okay, so you’re tired of crocheting flat lines and want to switch it up to projects with more potential- look no further! Crochet Level 2 for intermediate crochet learners ready to create granny squares and switch colors. Skills taught are treble crochet, basic granny square pattern, color changes, and joining squares together. First time students will receive a crochet hook to keep, and all students will be able to take home their practice squares and 2 yarn colors. If granny squares are old news, check out Crochet Level 3.
Level 3- week 3
Calling all crochet learners with several practice hours passed! Crochet Level 3 for crochet students with experience will teach how to start magic circles for circle and spirals, slip stitches, increases, decreases, and multiplying stitch counts to create your own patterns. Like Crochet Levels 1 and 2, first time students will receive a crochet hook to keep, and all students will be able to take home their practice circles/spirals and 2 yarn colors.

Class minimum is 4 students.
These classes will be indoors and masking is a requirement, at this time.
