Mission
Our mission is to provide an environment for people to thrive by engaging in the arts . We aim to enhance the quality of life for those in our community and visitors by providing opportunities for self-expression, fun and creativity.
History
The historic building was erected in 1915 by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was visited by many lodge members for their gatherings and meetings. Over the years, the building housed many different businesses, including Langellier Motor Company [1916] and the Courier. Lodge rooms were on the third floor and consisted of a lodge hall, kitchen, and dining room. Most people recall the furniture store that had filled the 4 story building with furniture and antiques. The most recent owner was Toby Prange (Moses Pinkerton) who purchased the building in 2008 to relocate from Chicago with his wife, Polly. Toby and Polly had a love for the arts and created the Lincoln Art Institute, Think Tank, to offer a place for local artists to exhibit their work. He then formed the Logan County Arts group with Jason Hoffman and started hosting monthly art shows in 2011. They continued to host shows and promote public art in Lincoln until Toby’s sad departure in 2020. Jason and Marcia purchased the building with the intention of carrying on his vision of offering a place for the arts and community.
